Why this, why now?
I’ve always had a blog. From AOL, to a .mac blog, to Blogger, to Tumblr, Medium — she been talking. I have a blog on my website too, so this was inevitable.
What kind of community are you looking to build here?
I’m not going to lie to you. I’m a Black Woman in the world and in America. It’s gonna get political over here. Add to that, I have a Political Podcast and Substack with my friend Joey Cade. But, this will also be silly, full of art and beauty. Joy is Resistance, Rest is Resistance, but so is Expression.
Anything else? Like, what are really doing here?
Not gonna lie, I’m going to drive y’all to listen to our Podcast and read our Newsletters. But also, I have projects outside of Get Pod Local. And you’ll hear about that here. I also am a Freelance Producer and Director — so that will be here too.
The world is dark and twisty — but not everything I do will reflect that.
